The Spot (1976)
The 2CV Spot was the very first limited edition Citroën for the French market. A historic moment. This model was produced exclusively in 1976 and had a very limited run.
Only 400 units were officially sold in the Netherlands. Depending on the country, the Spot was available as a 2CV4 or 2CV6. In Switzerland, the Spots even received a unique serial number on the front doors .
During production, a significant interior change occurred: the transition from a brown to a black steering wheel and dashboard. As a result, French Spots often have a brown interior, while Dutch examples are black. Technically, the Spot remained identical to the standard 2CVs of that period.
The Special (1978)
The 2CV Special was introduced in 1978 to repurpose pre-1970 bodies. Initially, a yellow 2CV4 appeared, later followed by a striking red 2CV6 . This version was simple, but therefore popular with purists.
The 007 Edition (1981)
After the success of the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only, Citroën released a playful tribute: a yellow 2CV with large 007 stickers . This edition was a hit with film buffs and 2CV fans alike.
The Charleston
The Charleston began in 1982 as a promotional model in black and red and became one of the most recognizable 2CV models ever. Its two-tone paintwork and understated interior are characteristic.
Later, yellow/black variants followed, and finally , grey/grey , the version that also honored the last 2CV produced. What began as a limited edition eventually became a regular production model.
The Marcatello / Basket (1982)
To celebrate the World Cup in Spain, Citroën introduced the Marcatello . This version was adorned with a stylized football boot. The design originated in a French school project from 1976, of which only two examples were built under the name Basket .
The Transat / Beachcomber (1983)
In 1983, Citroën sponsored a world sailing race with the yacht France 3. To finance this, a special 2CV was released. In France, it was called the France 3 ; in other countries, it was called the Transat or Beachcomber . A portion of the proceeds went directly to the sailing project.
The Cocorico (1984)
After the French national team's unexpected success at the European Championship, Citroën responded quickly with the Cocorico . A patriotic special edition that perfectly captures the spirit of national pride.
The Dolly (1985–1986)
The 2CV Dolly was released in three series and is known for its cheerful two-tone combinations .

The Bamboo (United Kingdom)
In England, the Bamboo was introduced following the introduction of engines suitable for 95 octane unleaded gasoline . This special edition had several variants with subtle striping and distinctive door details.
The Sauss Ente / Ente Grün (Germany)
Simultaneously with the Bamboo, Citroën Germany launched the Sauss Ente , recognizable by a large duck on the side. Later, the Ente Grün followed, a more relaxed design with a smaller duck and the text "I flei blei frei" (I flei blei frei) .
The Perrier (1987)
The 2CV Perrier is one of the most exclusive special editions ever. This series was distinguished by unique extras such as:
